Owner Tammy Denham has opened both calendars at once, giving West Michigan couples and businesses in Sparta, Rockford, Grand Rapids, and the surrounding communities a single window to claim a date before the season's best weekends are gone.

Fall is the venue's signature season. The property's mature trees turn color around the ceremony field just as temperatures ease into the range that makes an outdoor ceremony comfortable again, and the 1870s barn behind it holds the reception under string lights and original hand-hewn beams. Couples planning a barn wedding venue can choose Saturday, Friday, or Sunday dates, with weekday and off-season windows available for smaller guest lists. Every package includes tables, chairs, ceremony seating, dance floor, lighting, and full access to the property's grounds and getting-ready spaces.

The same property is opening its calendar to companies and families at the same time. Briar Barns hosts corporate and special events year-round, from holiday parties and milestone birthdays to showers and graduations, with indoor chapel space and outdoor grounds that scale from an intimate gathering to a 200-guest celebration. A business planning its end-of-year party gets the same historic barn, the same vendor-friendly setup, and the same all-inclusive approach as a wedding, without needing a wedding-sized guest list or budget.

For a shorter, lower-cost option built specifically for the season, Briar Barns is running a limited holiday celebrations package dated November 17 through December 13, 2026. The five-hour package covers a pre-decorated barn, a licensed bartender, full table service, a parking attendant, a sound system, and complete setup and cleanup, for up to forty guests. Neither barn has central air conditioning or heat, so cooler holiday nights are handled with patio heaters, while the same string lighting that carries the wedding season keeps the space glowing without covering up the original character of the building.

"Fall and the holidays are the two times of year this place shows off the most, and it always fills up faster than people expect," said owner Tammy Denham. "A couple gets the foliage and the barn lit up at night, and a company gets the same barn for an afternoon without the wedding-sized planning. Either way, the good Saturdays and the December dates go first, so the people who call early are the ones who get to pick."
