This process starts by storing the seed within a gas chamber and then raising its temperature to 1500°F. After that point, the chamber is flooded with carbon-rich gasses, like methane and carbon dioxide. The gasses then become ionized by the extreme temperature, effectively losing their carbon atoms and handing them off to progress the seed into a diamond of pure carbon.
