Braid carries chosen context between computers people control; Folio turns selected conversations into reviewed articles for publication on their own sites.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Intersignal LLC today announced Folio 0.2.2, a local test build that extends its work on useful AI context from private exchange to human-reviewed publication. Alongside the popular public Braid Archangel 1.9.1 release, Folio gives people a deliberate path from a conversation on their own computers to an article they can share.

A useful idea can be stranded on one computer or buried in a long AI conversation. Braid addresses the first problem: a person reviews a note or summary, chooses an approved computer to receive it, and inspects the result. The receiving computer decides whether to accept the material and can use relevant, accepted notes in a later conversation with its local model. Direct transfers over a local network are free; managed access across networks is available separately through an activation-based early access program.

Folio addresses what happens when a conversation is worth sharing beyond those computers. After the user connects the two separate apps, Folio can selectively import a completed Braid Channel conversation. It can also start with text the user supplies. The user chooses the material, removes private passages, edits the piece, and reviews the exact public edition. Folio then prepares article HTML for a site builder or a publication ZIP for a static host. The user publishes through their own platform account.

The result is a workflow with a decision at each boundary: what context may travel between machines, and what parts of a conversation may become public.

Technology commentator Robert Scoble posted a Braid demo video on X on September 26. The post, labeled a paid partnership on X, describes a test using Braid and Ollama on a Mac Studio and MacBook Pro. After pairing and approving the computers, his team sent a test message and summary between them over a local connection. The demonstration covers Braid's handoff; Folio supplies the separate editing and publishing step.

Braid Archangel 1.9.1 is available as a free local client for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Folio 0.2.2 is available from the site as well. Both can be found at intersignal.org. Braid requires Python, Ollama, and locally installed models; Folio requires Python 3.10 or later, with Braid 1.9.1 needed for Channel imports.
