Smartstone Showcases Carrara Sintered Stone in Noosa Kitchen Project

Carrara's marble-inspired surface brings a restrained design approach to a Noosa kitchen

NOOSA, QLD - Smartstone is highlighting Carrara sintered stone in a Noosa kitchen project, presenting a marble-inspired surface within a design focused on light, texture and restraint.

In a published preview of the kitchen, Smartstone described "the timeless character of Carrara stone" as central to the space. The project places the surface within a restrained design palette, providing a point of reference for homeowners and designers exploring kitchen material selections.

A classic marble aesthetic in sintered stone

Carrara combines a cool, pearly white background with fine veining and a matt finish. Developed as a recreation of Carrara marble, it is designed to complement both traditional and modern interiors, including kitchen and bathroom settings.

Available within Smartstone's Classic price range, Carrara is supplied in 3200 mm × 1600 mm slabs with a 20 mm thickness. The product is specified for indoor and outdoor use, giving project teams scope to consider a consistent material across different areas.

Understanding the Sintered Collection

Smartstone's Sintered Collection is manufactured through sintering, a process that binds natural minerals using intense heat and pressure. The result is an ultra-compact surface developed to combine the appearance of natural stone with durability.

The wider collection is arranged into Pure, Classic and Deluxe price ranges, with different colours, veining patterns and finishes. Smartstone offers matt and suede finishes across the range, allowing material selection to reflect the visual requirements and budget of a project.

Beyond kitchen benchtops, the collection is intended for indoor and outdoor applications. Smartstone identifies UV stability and non-porous surfaces as features of the range. These characteristics give designers scope to consider material continuity across a project, rather than treating each kitchen, bathroom or outdoor surface selection as an entirely separate design decision.

Viewing and selecting surfaces

Smartstone's showroom network provides product viewing, information and sampling for both trade professionals and homeowners. Visitors can see surfaces beyond a digital image, while the company's online virtual gallery provides another way to explore the collection before arranging a visit.

Samples are thinner than the finished slabs and do not display through-body veining. Showroom viewing and technical specifications therefore remain important when considering the appearance of exposed edges.
